01

Who we are

Dungle Tutors (“Dungle”, “we”, “us”) is an online coaching platform that connects ICAN and ATSWA candidates with verified practitioner-instructors. We are responsible for the personal information you give us through this website and our student and instructor portals.

This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have. It is written to meet the requirements of the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA).

02

Information we collect

When you create a student account

  • Your first and last name and email address.
  • A password, which we store only in scrambled (hashed) form — nobody at Dungle can read it.
  • The programmes and courses you enrol in, your class schedule, assignments you submit and the feedback you receive.

When you apply to teach

  • Your full name, email address and phone number.
  • Your CV, and the course you would like to teach.
  • A password for your instructor account, stored in hashed form.

When you pay for a course

Payments are handled by our payment partner, Flutterwave. We receive a payment reference, the amount, the date and whether the payment succeeded. We never receive or store your card number, PIN or bank login details.

When you contact us

If you use our contact form or email us, we keep your name, email address and message so that we can reply and follow up.

Collected automatically

When you sign in we set a secure session cookie so you stay signed in. Our hosting provider also keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the service secure and working.

03

How we use your information

  • To create and manage your account, and to verify that your email address belongs to you.
  • To deliver your courses — enrolling you, scheduling live classes, sharing materials and returning assignment feedback.
  • To review instructor applications and, once approved, to run your instructor account.
  • To process payments and keep records of what you have bought.
  • To send you service messages — verification codes, class reminders, application updates and receipts.
  • To answer your questions and provide support.
  • To keep the platform secure, prevent fraud and meet our legal obligations.
05

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only where it is needed to run the service:

  • Your instructors see the names of students enrolled in their courses and the work those students submit.
  • Service providers who host and operate the platform on our behalf — website hosting, database, file storage (for CVs and uploads), email delivery and payment processing (Flutterwave). They may only use your information to provide their service to us.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
06

Cookies

We use only essential cookies: a secure session cookie that keeps you signed in to your portal. It expires after 8 hours or when you log out.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not let third parties track you across other websites.

07

How long we keep it

  • Account information is kept for as long as your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep it by law.
  • Payment records are kept for as long as Nigerian tax and accounting law requires.
  • Instructor applications that are not approved, including the CV, are deleted within 12 months unless you ask us to keep them on file.
  • Contact messages are kept for up to 24 months so we can follow up on your query.
08

How we protect it

  • All traffic to and from Dungle is encrypted with HTTPS.
  • Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.
  • Access to personal information is limited to the staff who need it to do their jobs.
  • Payments are handled entirely by Flutterwave, which meets international card-security standards (PCI DSS).
09

Your rights

Under the NDPA you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it.
  • Correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Delete your information, subject to our legal obligations.
  • Object to or restrict certain uses of your information.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
  • Receive your data in a common, machine-readable format.

To use any of these rights, email Support@dungletutors.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

10

Children

Dungle is designed for professional exam candidates and is not intended for children. If you are under 18, please use Dungle only with the permission of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal information without that consent, contact us and we will delete it.

11

International transfers

Some of our service providers store data on servers outside Nigeria. Where that happens, we make sure the transfer is allowed under the NDPA and that your information is protected to the same standard it would be in Nigeria.

12

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform grows. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date at the top of this page, and if the change is significant we will let you know by email or in your portal.
